Is it possible to track a stolen cellphone after a replacement is hooked up?

My cellphone was stolen. A couple of days later, I got a replacement and hooked it up with the same number the stolen one had. Is there any way to track that phone even though my number is no longer associated with it?

What does suspending/freezing a sim card do to your stolen cellphone?

When you call your service provider and get them to cancel everything can the people who stole it still browse the phone and look at contacts and undeleted texts and whatnot? I know they can’t phone anyone or anything that will make the bill go up, but can they still browse it or does it shut off completely? My cellphone provider is koodoo/telus.

Is there a way to trace a stolen cellphone using a different simcard?

I lost my blackberry curve a few days ago. I reported it to T-mobile and forgot to ask them about my concerns. As my question said, is there a way to trace a cellphone if it is “on” or functioning but what if whoever had my phone is using a different sim card already? Or could they possibly trace the cellphone thru its serial #, imei? I am so desperate. Please help!
